New 4X DVD-R Media
The new 4X DVD-R media will soon be available but beware, if you use this media in a Pioneer A03/103 or A04/104 you will burn out your DVD writer.
Pioneer are aware of the problem but are not advertising the matter for reason only known to them. There is a 1.90 firmware update available which will allow you to use the 4X media.

to take this a bit further the problem is with the a03/a04 over heating
this has been a problem for a long time not just because of the new media ie my a03 overheated burned out dvd laser (what tech told me)this was before the new media was available yes new patch improves over heating problem a03+fw 1.90 a04+fw1.32
