The NoDVD still doesn't solve the SM2.0 (or 2.0b in my case) debacle

So reading their e-mail about 'push the envelope' does this mean ALL Ubi games from now on will now be SM3.0? If not, then this is just a gimmick by Ubi to help Nvidia/ATI sell their High End cards in return for a wad of cash!

They should have changed the name to SPLINTER CELL: CAVEAT EMPTOR!

People in another forums says it is a packed exe in a cab file inside the disk! So, an Ubisoft fatal mistake?

Changing the entry "SimpleShaders" in splintercell4.ini to true should solve the shader 2 problems (I heard).

I cant believe Ubisoft made 2 fatal mistakes!

1. Leaving the unprotected exe in the cab file! (which is a bonus for gamers)
2. Creating a game which wont play on systems which only support SM 2.0!!

Apparently you heard wrong. Check Glenbo's posts on page 1 of this thread.

Does the patch solve any of the graphic card problems?

http://patches.ubi.com/splinter_cell_double_agent/

I have PS 3.0 myself, so I can't say.
