thats right folks, current version of sr7 stop oder sd4 hide doesnt recognize the new virtual drive of daemon tools 4.00 (mostly because the new one uses new names for the ports or something like that) - reinstalled 3.47 just a second ago, works like a charm, luckily i dont have one starforce game i wanna play - means i just dont need the new version

[edit] i have to say that the sr7 games i tried (total overdose + path of neo) also do not work without trying to use sr7stop as someone said here that sr7 games seem to work...

This means that the new daemon tools 4.00 can let me play with games such like FEAR @1.02???

huh? does fear 1.02 have another PROTECTION than 1.00 or what. dont know if it does, read somewhere it works. but then other games dont work (at least till a new sr7 stop or sd4 hide releases that supports the ****ing new version)

Didn't just "say" so, I played FEAR 1.02 without the DVD. 1.02 with the new hotfix installed. But I also wrote that I had to DEACTIVATE the cd drives. Tried it again two minutes ago and it works. Just activate all emulation options, deactivate the drives AND close dtools.

Oh, I almost forgot: either use a full images created from the original disk or a working mini image. Won't work with warez ****

am i gay? i dont fcking want to disable my drives to get a game running that prolly worked before (sr7 games for example). better stick with the older version and miss patches for games that disable using of the old one..... i dont play fear anyway

You dont have to, if you think for a bit, you would come to conclusion I did and that was just to disable the drives in the Device Manager, and re-enable them when done.

For Path of Neo, I used an image I made, mounted it on DT4 and disabled my DVD-rw+ROM. It started no problem.

So to play FEAR 1.02 and Path of Neo its only neaded to load the game disk image with Daemon Tools 4.00, disable ALL the dvd devices in the Device Manager, CLOSE Daemon Tools 4.00 and last... play the game?!?
