Help with Halo 2

I have just tried both methods that are in this thread, e.g removing the dashupdate.xbe & renaming the credits file but still no go. When I remove the .xbe file the intro fires up but then when it says loading I get an error about a dirty disc. Then when I rename the credits file on the dashboard I get unknown on the drive status instead of game.Any help would be appreciated.

Remove the dashupdate.xbe, just as you did.
Then go find the attract_60.bik file, remove it. Then create a attract_60.txt and rename it to "attract_60.bik" that way you have created a dummyfile for it. Only make sure that your windows shows file extensions so that the file won't be named "attract_60.bik.txt" 'cause that won't work.

No need to touch any credits or similar. Hope that helps.
