DPM of Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory

The new StarForce Version used in Splinter Cell Chaos Theory is very similar to the one used in Silent Hunter 3 but there is one difference:

The "virus" installed by StarForce to prevent DPM reading was removed when uninstalling StarForce 3 drivers in the version used in Silent Hunter but those "virus" installed by the StarForce used in Splinter Cell 3 is not removable by uninstalling the SF drives.

So it is necessary to make the DPM on another PC (where no StarForce drivers were ever present). But if you have a working DPM it is no problem to burn an RMPS copy wich works in USB 2.0 drives perfectly (when all IDE drives are disabled).

This image doesn't work... When I want to mount it I get an error which says "File is not accessable".

This is not a mini-image, mini-images dosn't work with Splinter Cell 3.

It is just a .MDS wich inludes the DPM.

Do the following to get a working backup:

1. Get the latest version of Alcohol 120%

2. Do a Full Image of your DVD (European Version) without DPM

3. Replace your .MDS with mine

4. Burn a backup using RMPS

5. Activate RMPS emulation

6. Diable all IDE CD/DVD drives

7. Insert your backup into a USB 2.0 CD/DVD Drive and play!!

Thats the one and only solution at the moment!!!

i have read your post, and you tell us that it's work with your backup.
Then i would like to know if it's possible that you make online a torrent of your backup of splinter cell 3 ?

Hi Karlmueller,

I don't understand the problem you had about DPM measurement with the new SF protection from
Splinter Cell 3.

In fact, after installing this game, i can't anymore extract DPM info with alcohol (stuck at 0%).
But after running "sfclean.exe" program + reboot, i was able to extract DPM info (at 1x with precision
high).

Then i've burnt the DVD , activated RPMS emulation with alcohol, physically disconnected all my IDE drrives and i put my IDE DVD burner in an external USB2.0 adapter.

When i run the game, the authentification process starts, hangs at 25%, and after 1/2 minutes, it gives an error.

Do u think my DPM info are wrong (even if was extracted at 100% without problem) ?

PS: after 1.01 patch, the safedisc prtoection goes from 3.4.71.19 to 3.4.75.03

hello, I cannot assemble any more the images with Alchool and deamontools because of starforce which and the solutions because I would like by reformater the PC thank you very much and excused me of my English thank you A+

sc3 is multilang (at least eng/ger/fr i think).

You can play multi without cd, at least it is not protected with sf.

I have 2 DVD drives. What must i turn off with starforce nightmare to deactivate them?

I have done the following:

Primary Slave ;Off
Secondary Master ;Off
Secondary Slave ;Off
CD ;Off

But when i want to start the Game it crashes. He checks the CD is at 25% and crashes. I have also deactivated all other virtual drives exept one from alcohol 120%.
