Doh!! This is typical. Have just fixed it. I knew as soon as I posted I would sort it.
It was either 1)a badly fitted Romeo mod wire (Removed and refitted tidily) 2)A solder splash on the vias on the underside of the board. Thanx anyway

I was going to say theres a joint or splat or otherwise it could be a voltage leak! making a high pitch noise.

I suspect it was a link across one of the vias but I did a total cleanup job on the board as a whole and resoldered the Romeo mod so cannot be sure what cured it.
