Maybe an analogy will help....

People don't seem to get this, so I will put it in simpler terms. Ok, +R media will work and -R media will work as well....BUT for better and longer laser life you are safer using -R media because it is easier for the laser to read it. Ok I will put it in terms like this:

Drinking a small cap full of bleach every day wont kill you outright, but eventually you WILL die from excessive chlorine levels in your blood.

Same thing with the lasers. The +R media wont kill your laser outright or even right away, but eventually (and we are talking months) your laser WILL die...and who wants that?

So just because you "can" burn with +R media does not imply that you "ought" burn with +R media.

of course it wont, i know a guy that survived drinking a half gallon of bleach, he was in a coma for 3 days after that but he still lived
