Soldiers - Heroes of World War II @ Starforce 3 Hidden Devices

I was looking around on codemasters fourm and I found this-

Soldiers using Starforce Copy protection - hidden device drivers

I looked around here and It has not been talked about that I could find.. So Here's what I Found:

* Starforce is an extremely aggressive method of copy protection that actually works at the hardware level of your PC.

* It installs device drivers WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE or CONSENT.

* these device drivers are HIDDEN from normal view. They can be displayed by opening Device Manager, and clicking on "View" and then on "Show Hidden Devices"

* Even DEMOS install Starforce! as if there could be ANY possible reason for copy protecting a DEMO.

* Removal of the full game or demo that installed the drivers DOES NOT REMOVE THE STARFORCE DEVICE DRIVERS.

* important: manual removal of the device drivers can result in severe system problems. Some users have reported having to fully format and reinstall their OS, others have reported that their CD drives no longer read certain CD's after removal. DO NOT ATTEMPT MANUAL REMOVAL..

i can confirm that worked 4 me too (although not with every media i tryed) there is a 100% method but this would involve changing the image file wich im not capable of doing (or telling u where to get this modification course of the board rules) - yust wanted to tell ya it's indeed possible to backup
btw: (funny thing is my backup starts FASTER than my original lol)

Making "sure" you keep your original disc in the drive and not trying to emulate....

You don't want to know, what other copy protection systems / games / applications install behind your back...

Also confirmed. I have tried the alcohol images from emule. Worked with blindwrite.

GSA-4120b writer, TDK-cdr. Worked faster than my original too

Hi

First of all, Im spanish so sorry about my english .

Can you explain what is "Starforce option 1/2/3?". There is an option of alcohol 120 program?. In this chase: Is in version 1.4.7 (that i have) also this option?. Otherwise, if "Starforce option 1/2/3" is not an option of Alcohol 120...what is so?.

Thanks

okay, have burned the disc off alcohol, after installing it already (obviously) then tried to use it and it is going to check the disc and then it says 'no disc'.
also tried starforceclean but didn't help. after i reset after running starforceclean it said 'installation complete' and all that was needing a reset. so i reset, after the reboot, it looks for the disc all over again and says disc not there, or if i just use alcohol and the virtual drive it says incorrect disc.

Any hints?
