Safedisc won't let me play original/genuine game cd's

Safedisc is swiftly becoming the bane of my life. I have Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow and Vampires the masquerade bloodlines, both of which i believe have safedisc protection.

I had cloneCD on my system and recently got alcohol 120 and was now not able to play either game. So quickest solution a nice little uninstall (got backups). Unfortunately that hasn't worked, still getting emulation software detected on system when there isn't any left . Any ideas would be great.

It's getting to a strange place when gamers can't even play genuine cd's let alone back-ups of games they've bought!

I can imagine Safedisc version 99 error warning 'Safedisc has detected you're computer is turned on, go play outside!!!'

Cheers
