all that i done to copy ENTER THE MATRIX is just read to image file with CLONE_CD as i had no luck with CLONYY telling me what protection it had,,(in fact i have never hade a protection detector work...

it sounds like your dvd rom is locked and program unable to gather info,,,try playin dvd for about 30seconds and try again,,,
i use dvdxcopy and xpress heaps and i havnt had any problems apart from...

you will find by using dvd_shrink that it will make the menus compression higher than movie,,,level 8 will still compress movie but its still better than vhs and cheaper than dvd,,,,,,

i dont think i would bother,,,i dont know of any programs out there that will do vcd svcd,,,if your using mpeg1 think of the quality now and think about it if ya compressed it by 50%,,,look bad,,,...

had same problem____dont use alcohol120%___use cd clone the newest version that u can get and use Perfect copy protection and it will set up clone cd to do it
