canopus procoder 1.02

can anybody tell me why when ever i use CANOPUS PROCODER v1.02 it gets to a certain point in the conversion and causes my comp to crash and display that the computer has had a serious problem,
I have installed the right QUICKTIME and DIRECT X,
Im only using the demo version but with crack,
