Do any mod chips output NTSC games as PAL?

Could anyone tell me if any modchips available for the PS2 will display PS2 NTSC games as PAL? I have TV that has no problems with displaying the colours - so one of those 50 quid analog adapters...

Ta. I couldn't think why a chip that I don't imagine would interact with the laser but I thought I'd ask around. If the general consensus is it does no damage I'll probably stick with my no-solder...

My TV's not particularly new - it's a Grunding - and it handles colour in RGB. You need to make sure you're using an RGB Scart lead, not just an ordinary scart lead and that your PS2 is set to output...
