NTSC -- > PAL? Can it be done without a heck of a lot of cash?
I've got a TV that only displays pure PAL 50 signals. NTSC signals sent via scart come in colour via RGB but are slightly squashed. Is there any relatively cheap piece of kit that will let me stretch the picture (I gather the 49.99 PAL to NTSC colour handle colour only). My Samsung 709 manages to take an NTSC DVD signal in and feed it out as PAL, and I'm not bothered about being able to record it - I'm after playing NTSC original PS2 games on my TV (I already have the necessary kit to get round the PS2 region coding).
Help would be appreciated - ta. |

So u can actually play NTSC on PAL Ps2 at 50 Hz without it being black and white?? Why is mine always coming up black and white? is it the copy of the game ? its an iso ripped from edonkey. Is this why its not colour or telly?? i have a magic 2 chip

Few TVs can do RGB. Only very expensive TV models like samsung and sony have it. Thats why most people can only see them in B&W.

I have the Grundig ST70-700 text and it does NOT work with RGB Cable and RGB output. And i did ask a professional TV Person about this issue and he told me to change my PC cuz it won´t be able to handle RGB.
