I didn't/don't have a facebook warez page. That is a complete waste of valuable time because I don't enjoy it and on the plus size, I don't earn anything. :)

I'm planning on adding some audio speeches for tutorials and hints for some people who still don't know how to use this program, maybe they'll understand if I wand some audio like, "No, No you are doing it all wrong, you should first add line to fill in values." guides yep, i'll give them a try...

I fixed that error. I had it as well, but anyways, Hotfix will be uploaded. StrToFloat is buggy I guess.

But works fine with me.

Now, just have to wait for hosting to put itself together with my domain.

Actually Planning on adding .bik videos.Just need to figure out a way of using binkw32.dll. Just doing my things differently since people I use other peoples ideas and I have something to them, you ain't seen nothing yet... :p

until razor got this problem fixxed or gives us the portable version, you may download the attached rar-file.
i got IC_x64 installed (and got 300 of this error windows :D), so just unpack it and go ahead with your projects.

attention:
i disabled the welcome dialog, quiz dialog and the wallpaper (i got eye problems) in the options, just enable them again.
you may also assign .icp .icu to installer creator in options,too.

maybe dont use the download method and instead pack it with internal media.
or release it as portable like previous versions.
then you have 2.3.2 finallized and must not worry about trival thigns anymore.

Funny thing is that I did not use even a single timer for the animations therefore cpu usage is not actually going to be high. That's why I chose Delphi FMX instead of Delphi VCL. :D

i´m using win7 64 bit, so im not a big help here :(
but i know that some users have win8 installed and IC is working there.
Check if you have microsoft .net Framework 4.5 installed. check for windows updates also.
Start IC as admin maybe.

please report back and provide us a screenshot of the error. then we know more :P

Set Output to "{app}", set Language, Component, and Task to "Any". Use the Right Precomp version. (don't write " with it)

At the end go to 'Run' then 'Build'. Of course you have to put your Data.arc file next to the Output for Installing.

{src} and {app} are essential, dont forget them
BTW: Inges tutorialfiles are in IC implemented. they have pictures for this specific "adding External Media".

Have you try out to let the line 'Spyro Collection' away? :confused:
Cause in the end you compress the content of the Folder 'Spyro Collection'.
Just try to write {app}\Spyro1\ePSXe.exe and so on...

IC choosing the .exe file automaticly?
That does not work, in generel game have more than one executable, IC wouldn´t know which is the correct one.

Just go to Executable-tab, click ADD, Fill name and executable-path like {app}\Binaries\win32\win32_shipping.exe (for example), check that desktop and startmenu are activated (blue background).
then add the internal/external media.

And keep an eye on the folder-structure, like inge pointed out. sometimes things get confusing ;)

you mean parameter for the shortcuts.
i dont know either, but i have an autiIt3 script inmind.

run("game.exe -parameter")
exit

you can load this script compiled as an .exe into IC. but its a dirty workaround.

EDIT: just testet it by adding -parameters behind the executable path. it doesnt even create a shortcut then.

you must use a batch-script (.bat) or an autoit3 script for it.

go to Installer-Tab, choose the "Button"-option and scroll far to the right side.
there you can put your checkboxes.

reminder: setting a custom checkbox unlocks a new wizard page:
Set priorities. here the user can set the priority the setup will run (from min, normal, high, max).
higher priority will decrease system speed, but makes unpacking faster.

if you want this checkboxes in your setup, go to "Installer"-tab.
activate the little arrow at the bottom left corner to access the advanced options.
there switch to the "Buttons"-tab and scroll to the far right.
there is the checkbox option ready for use

Set Language to any (no russian or english) the rest is correct. In the End click 'Run->Build'.
Now move your Setup.exe + setup-1a.bin next to your Data.bin files. Should Install Problemless, if you haven't made some other wrong.

Set language = "Any" for Data5 "Rusisa" and Data6 "English". Also if you want make game for 6xDVD5 just change "Disk" with: Data1.bin = 1; Data2.bin= 2;... Data6.bin=6.

You take a transparent picture (.png).
You convert this picture to .bmp, with Paint.net or with an Video/music/allInOne Converter (I use format factory).

in IC, you go to autorun tab.
open the advanced menu (the bar at the bottom).
switch the mainbackground to .PNG.
change the background- IC will ask for a .bmp, and then for a .png file.
(IC uses the bmp as a mask to write the png over it).

same for Installer-Tab "Main Background". other Dialogboxes can be a pure .png file

At the first Setupwizard-page, choose "Configure", not "Install".

also make sure, to edit the "Product Name" and "Default Installation Directory".

the bmp CAN be black/white.
colored version works too. I only use Paint.net to "convert" my png´s to bmp´s, without some gimp-transparancy-ugly stuff. because i hate gimp

Ok guys, I have thought about it. I have to cancel v2.5.2-v2.7 release for IC, but thoyght about it again why not step up to the next major version. Check it out.

Oh and check installer creator using up nearly 800mb, why is this? What was I doing to make IC do that, anyone can answer this gets Beta Release of IC.

A Beta release is no reward or success to get. This is a serious thing to work with.

Think about what part of code you altered, simple backstagging may get a random loop in the design.

For Images use the Web (Google!), OST you get from Youtube, simple Buttons you can get on http://dabuttonfactory.com/
Easyest way for newbies. Or use Boxed Installers (like Blackbox v2) there you need only Images, maby OST if wanted.

Maby you have Changed Button Size? I got this Prob also a few Times (Buttons won't show), to avoid that I let all Buttons on Standard size and change only Font Name and Font size. This Bug can also happen on Installer Window when you change the Text Background size to Big or to small. When you use .png/.bmp get shure the .bmp Img is correct 'configured'...

Dll upgrade and new interface features.

Botva2 will be replaced by layered and there will be new changes like loading png without bmp since some people can't make the bmp. So look forward to it.

Yup, thats better. In v.2.5 you must change the resolution via Mousesliding. Thats a bit difficult. In v.2.3 it works with Keyboard.

will upload beta 4 tomorrow, it MIGHT have video support in Autorun, Installer and small installer (fullscreen) but first have to sort out my hard drive(it fell from a height of 0.6 metres and the source of installer creator was on it so don't know if I can recover the source and have to get Delphi XE3 again)

Thanks for reply, I know I can use #39 instead of ' I thought that this is a problem in version 2.7 because version 2.5.1 worked with ' in App Name. In any case, thanks for the suggestion and sorry for trouble.

hmm, there is a bug with system requirements for operating system but I fixed it in v2.8 which is not out yet.

the empty rows and columns, it is because you had yo add a row before typing, first add then select row then start writing.

Ok, just completed the registry function importing and writing with inno setup is 99% functional.

What keys types can be imported:

String(REG_SZ)
DWord(REG_DWORD)
QWord(REG_QWORD)
Binary(REG_BINARY)
Expandable String(REG_EXPANDSZ)
Multi String(REG_MULTISZ)(may not be working 100 percent but tried my best, it is the stupid Char(0) making this bug);

ok nice dudes, we got even bigger problems, my friend f-ed up my pc and no data was recoverable so I am forced to start the program from scratch, if only I shared my sources to anyone I giess it wouldn't be much of a problem but anyways since I created the program, it shouldn't be much of a problem atarting up again. it took about 8 months to create but this time around it will take roughly weeks, so I guess the beta v2.7 will be the latest for now, sorry guys. oh and 64-bit edition is cancelled, recovery didn't work for all files and the 64-bit files were one of them.

ok, I was thinking of the data loss for Installer Creator and I came to a conclusion, I think it was a good this I lost data, everything happens for a reason. This gives me a chance to create something afresh, something new, hopefully you guys are going to like it. Will be using Layered from now on, botva2 has to retire now.

heh, you are lucky man in this case (using Layered), because, when i decided to use layered, it doesn't have built in controls (e.g buttons labels edits, it has but only for Enhanced Edition), and i was spend a lot of time, to create own "plugin" for layered with controls future (lui.dll), and now, the latest version of layered, have build in controls, so you will save many time :D

in latest version of layered (v2.1) you can't use loading images from memory, only from disk, and you can use only Unicode Inno Setup.

i see, okay guys. this program is officially stopped, I think something or someone at my home sabotaged my computer, all the data is destoryed anf I don't think it can be recovered this time, hard drive makes noises as if the reading needle is not controlled anymore like it keeps hitting something inside. not really an expert when it comes to such things. Can data be restored?
I left my PC running overnight(was making a conversion) and woke up and hard drive was busted.

try putting the drive in external HD enclosure, then hook it up via USB. ( I used WUBI installer for Ubuntu V12.04, which you can install within windows ( hence WUBI ) and then once youre in Ubuntu, usually it can SEE
that HD, and potentially restore files from it to another HD )

Good Luck, cause from the sounds of it, the HD controller went & the noise is coming from the read heads hitting the centre spindle & resetting back to rest area. If it goes none stop, then it MAY not be possible to recover any data. There is also a website that sells new controller boards but you need an exact match to your Drive, when it was made & firmware version of onboard bios. Then it can be swapped out & maybe recover data from the damaged HD, but it still may not be recoverable. I have 2 HD that have done the exact same thing, I've lost ALL Original work for Conversions that I had saved templates for, some of which I may never recreate.
