No Probs here anymore. The Internal Compress still not work, but this seems to be a Fail of my Hardware(Ram or Cache). Tested on my Sons PC too, there works everything fine.

razor can i ask you? can you try make installer without using "Small Installer"? because i already try it 2 times and the instal is always stuck at 100%

and... every i press cancel the installer is freeze so i need force close it using task manager.

the credits is have no problem. and you should atlast let razor credit himself. why? because this Software is awesome and FREE. easy and simple to use for Beginners like me. and more easy than Inno setup

Because Warez groups want to use this to make and release their own Repacks and repeat the history?
First time yener disappeared, it was because of this... People taking his work and removing the credits. Razor hardcoded that part and it can't be removed.

I had enough with scumbags like you, we all had. Even if Razor used yener's code for some part of his CI, caused yener's leave from fileforums, you learned nothing.

While i dont use nor like CD, seems he spent enough time on this application to make things easier for noobs like you (if he didnt grab the source from elsewhere again), and yet you still whine about how to remove his and even translators' names.

I'm afraid not, Credits cannot be removed like y_thelastknight said, and also what riodsa123, this is a freeware software and a lot of people spent their time bringing up this program so it can't be done.

and altef_4, y_thelastknight, logrim, pakrat2k2, sentinelks; I finally did this function to read imported regs. can y'all understand it? it can read strings, dword and binary, I'll have to move on to Multistring and ExpandString Soon.

Can't believe I can do such at my age. I'll kill everyone when I get to varsity.

Here is my feedback regarding r1.2.10 with Win7 x64
64-bit flavor -Installer Creator (64-Bit) is displayed in the application field of the about window -Except remarks above nothing to report32-bit flavor -Installer Creator (32-Bit) is displayed in the application field of the about window -Windows error message box when the IC is closed: that program may be not setup correctly… [Install again with recommended settings or that program is installed correctly] (rough translation)Now here my suggestions or problems I noticed with 1.2.1.0 or/and 1.2.0.1
Bugs/problems [1.2.1.0 or/and 1.2.0.1] The FreeArc compression doesn’t work with –mprecomp+srep(64)+delta+lzma method. The cmd line windows is opened / closed very quickly. No time to read what is the problem.
I used your compress.exe to generate the archive that kind of archive but in that case the installer fails to deflate it. [1.2.0.1 and certainly 1.2.1 based on InstallerScript.iss inspection] The GDF file registering in Window game explorer fails. Based on my InstallerScript.iss inspection, there is a mismatch between setup.ini keys (Launcher1Binary) and script that looks for: LauncherBinary and doesn’t check Launcher2Binary.Suggestions/recommendations

I don’t really like the message boxes that ask for disk swap when an archive is not found on the disk. I would prefer the Inno Setup flavor that lets you chance to point another location with a browse button.

But my major recommendation is please let us customize the installer generated by IC. I mean that would be very useful to have access to the script created by IC just before the compilation. Thus, we could modify some stuff and detect bug in the created script.
I’d like to use IC as a super ISTool: it would help to create very quickly and without error nice installer but let us tune it for our personal needs.

ok, on the next version you can be able to do that browse for next disk/archive, :D. Took me 2 days to figure out how to apply this feature.

the compile for all the registries took nearly 7 min and no data was added, just the registries 3592 Values and no bugs. :D Sweet

i have question. did you fix the installer bugs? because in some case the instaling progress is stuck at 100% ( without small installer ( Fullscreen ) ) i already try it 2 times and still getting same errors. but working fine with small installer.

If you have set the Commandline to "\Silent" you can't see the Installation of DX. It Installs silent in Background. Empty the Commandline and the DX Installer will pop up at end of Installation. Be also sure you have named the right path for DX (ex.: Support\DirectX\DIRECTX.exe). And the pre-install switch must be set to off, for Installing DX from DVD2.

No, problem is somewhere else. I made conversion of Blacklist to 5 dvd.
In "tasks" section put Direct X, Uplay Installer and VC++, without any commands. After conversion, during installation chose DX nd VC++, but nothing is installed.
Maybe change from {src} to {app} source, and move DX to game folder ?
I don't know what is "Install(x64) and "Pre-Install" in Creator.
My system - Win8 64bit.

Install (x64) enables for software to install on 64-bit only.
Pre-Install enables for software to install before installation starts.
I tried to compare and analyze your and my setup.ini and saw some differences.
After instalation, Installer Window display message: installing directX, but nothing happens.
I made archive files (bin) in Installer Creator, I did not use Converter.
This is my setup .ini and icp. Maybe someone find where the problem is.

Well I don't really know what's us with that error. will have to research but Installer Creator is much stable if there isn't any program which will prevent it from using the internet.

I'll have to use try and except to avoid this error.

So, now I've Installed my Windows 7 new, Installed new Version of IC and still the Problem with Internal Compression.
I've found out when I add a Game to the first Files line (General/Resources/Files) the Internal Compressor only creates Autorun.exe, Setup.cab/.ini.
Adding a Gamefolder to 2nd and 3rd Files line brings the same, but a Setup.exe will also created. And the Installer starts automaticly.
I hope you understand the Problem. The Internal Compressor do not "grab" the Gamefolder and Compress it. Am I the only one with that Problem?
Where is the trigger of the problem and how can we fix it???
Please help anyone!

It's done, thanks to supernoro! :cool: After Experimental a few times I have found out that the trigger for the Problem was the Components Section. If I write anything in there the Internal Compression will not work.
I hope the Installer works without an Components entry Problemless. Will Report back if everything is fine, still Compressing.

Everything works now! So for People who might have the same Problem Don't make an Entry in Resources/Components Section!

And Razor, The transitions in the slideshow are Animated, can I or you Change it somehow? I hate it, looks crappy.

Installer Creator v2 will be out soon.

Spent a lot of hours on this version, still working on it. but may upload alpha version today.

Now installations are totally internal, may apply botva protect. Setup.cab, Setup.ini, Autroun.exe is now ported inside the main exe. so one file.

Added experimental compression method which involve kgb and nanozip which are better than freearc but precomp+srep+delta+kgb is the best. :D

I may come up with a uploading source for images since imageshack is now going sideways with some of us. :(

Improved licensing, now each language can have it's own Readme, License, Manual, InfoAfter and infoBefore documents even websites :D.

and etc.

Oh and bug fixing.

Ok, Installer Creator v2.0 Experimental Out now. But only on x64 for now.

So people you can start testing. not really easy with dealing with one script which is ~ 800kb around 20,000 lines. not easy.

Anyways The part which needs more focus is the Licensing part. gave me a headache today trying to figure out the stringgrid since I have problems when if comes to column and row, I just don't know which is which sometimes.

Anyways. just check it out. but v1.3 is the latest stable don't be mistaken.

Errors identified so far.
Web, Manual and Readme Button won't appear even if Document loaded. :D
Indy Connections are giving me errors. I might switch to DropBox. :D

To Slideshow, Maybe I am wrong words. On my System the Slideshow is like a Diashow on v.1.3 of IC. The Pictures are Changing all 3 seconds with an Animation, like as if a book page is folded or something. Is this normal? In older versions of IC this was not so. I want to change it that there no Animations, but don't know how. If I have 13 Pics in Slideshow it should Start with first Picture and ended with Number 13 without Animations during the Slides.

@ oltjon, I've edit the last comment. Use the Tipp to Speed up the Compression. It's normal that Freearc seems to be frozen for Hours, just wait! ;)

In any case, people, you can start posting the error messages you receive while using Installer Creator and I'll patch them up.

Two Complete concerning EIdReadTimeout and EIdReplyRFCError.

I added startup picture to show whether Installer Creator is running or not.

I decreased the load time as well for people with internet connection.

All of this changes will be in Installer Creator v2.1, v2.0 is just for alpha and experimental releases.

Maby your CPU is too weak (dual core T4200 2.00 GHz). Do you Compile on a Notebook??
For me, the most External Compressions are Finished after 4 till 6 Hours (Freearc, Srep, Precomp).

Yes 'sneezed' is a word. ie: I just sneezed.

The wiktionary link you provided states the use of 'freezed' is NON-standard meaning when it is used we know what you mean but it is not a proper word.

Use of the "weak" inflection ending in "-ed" instead of the strong inflected form, froze (past) or frozen (past participle) is considered non-standard, though the speaker or writer would be understood.

The proper word/s for 'freezed' is therefore 'Froze or Frozen.

Few Bugs on my PC with v2.1:
With jpeg Installer:
-Splash screen is ignored by Autorun
-Button Sounds are also ignored only on Autorun
-The Music on/off Button ignores the Mouse over Button
-"save before close" turn in Error nothing will be saved
-"open last Project" only shows jpeg's nothing else
will test it with png as next. In further versions there were bugs with small buttons

The most Converters compress Srep together with Freearc, so you have to set hook to Freearc. If you have called your compressed File "mydata.srep" you have to write it into Source. Example: {src}\mydata.srep

Before you "Compile" the Project you can save it and it showing up on your Save folder.
But if you Compile the project first before you save it you cant save anymore. ( like my .gif img )

The "could not call proc" Error I've got once If have set a wrong Size for Setup Window. Changing the Size of this Window (from 1024x768 to 1100x700) have solve the Problem! If you use .png Pictures you have to change the Size for this and .bmp Mask too.

why your script is so large :confused:, try to optimize and decrease size of your script, my biggest script was ~12000 lines but then i begin to optimize it and now it only ~5500 lines and 230 kb, and all abilities of a script are still present.

I don't think codejock is coming back unless I find a fix for it.

installer pages disable themselves if they are not used.

I tried adding 0.43 but does not unpack.

It's written in the Tutorial, after executable and task tab: "the rest is not really needed, only if you need it!"
Means, you fill out the exe and task tab. The rest you may let free.
If you start now your Installer you have two Pages under Configure->Select Directory and Install redist. Nothing more!
You can also click Install in Setup Window, your Installer do Install your Game in Standard Folder (C:\Program Files (x86)), then you don't have to click always the next Button.

And @Razor the Dialog Page says "This Installer was created with the Program %1..." Should not stand there "...with the Program Installer Creator"? Only tested with German speech.

i have some ideas for the General-tab

Get rid of the UserInterface section (hide it in option or give it a seperate-tab inside the General/General tab.
then you have more space for the "Product Options".
merge the "Icon" and the "Product Information" sections to one section.
give the "Publisher Information" and the "Productversions" section a seperate tab (next to the Userinterface tab for example).

Then you have the informations ordered and got rid of the annoying scrollbar.

tooltips would be nice too, but most is self explaining

These buttons explain how to fill some grids. but not the actual function of the feature i may use. as i said, most is selfexplaining. but some features are not(requires deeper investigation by user a.k.a trailNerror)

Installer Creator v2.3.0.15 Update is now available.

I formatted my PC just because Windows 8/8.1 is junk and now I'm back to Windows 7 and have to reinstall RAD Studio XE3 but problem is that I don't have it anymore so have to get it again, however IC and my server has a bug in terms of updates, I think someone keeps hacking my server because files get reseted over and over again, however, I will have to get my server protected because I can even hack my program and server myself "it was really easy to figure it out". Anyways, I have an update for now while I get my pc back on it's feet but its' not easy to install the update so I have a trick on how to install the update anyways.

How to install/upgrade:
Run installercreator.exe, keep program open/running.
run updater.exe load update then attempt to install offline, you will see a msgbox which say that you must close IC, close it then click ok on the msgbox to close then update will install.

Done.

Yep, I can still make IC multilanguage. but a lot has to be done. first a list has to be generated. each label must be translated but we'll try it again guys with the translation because it seems like some of us have difficulties understanding English, So I guess I'll do it. Will give a try...

you create buttons with BtnCreate? then maybe problem in encoding(utf8) of language file, because buttons created with this function don't support unicode.
