Huge problems patching Tokyo Xtreme Racer 2! Need all the help I could get!!!
I've been spending the last 15 hours behind my PC trying to patch one stupid game that was already burnt, and accidentely the patch was only possible by applying it to your existing CD....
Now I've been having this discussion over @ the CD-Rom guides forum, 2 see whether they could help. They're helping me allright, but not really in an efficiant way. Every time I do what they say another problem or error reoccurs... So here's the URL of the topic: ####://www.cdrom-guide.com/ubb/Forum13/HTML/021696.html Those who help are much appreciated..... |

Dood, I have been #####in the forms too. I looked at your post on the other form and its all the same stuff I have been reading... why doesnt someone just tell us how to do it STEP BY STEP. no everyone has to be assholes about it and beat around the bush. JESUS. But anyways this is my problem, I open up a dos prompt and go to the directory that I have to. I then type in the command and it says warning -C specified without -M: old session data will not be merged. and me being me i say f*** it and just let it go. So in 3 minutes its done making the iso file. Now You think your scott free, but no they pull this multi session shit on you. So I just used cdrecord and typed in the commands I needed to and I got it to burn both the wav file and the iso file. Now you would think I would have this so called FIXed txr2, but no it doesnt work. Why I don't know, but it probably has to do with the whole warning thang. So am I an idiot.. well ya, but I was able to figure all this shit out by myself, still why doesnt it work. O_o
Now on your other post you got plenty of replys, and I was wondering if you have been succesful |

I am bck with new information. Well this guy webber or what ever is talkin about LBA or what ever, well the LBA of the audio file is 000000 and of the iso file is 011702. Does this mean anything, I think so. Its suppose to be 011700 so maybe the "hacking" didnt work (runnin bootwhateveritwascalled) There was something else... hmm... well thats all i remember. Now that I now this I will try burnin again and if it doesnt work this time I will have to hurt someone ^_^

now i remember. This whole thing about open session etc. all this means is that it doesnt finalize the cd in anyway so it can still burn... so could doing a RAW data burn do this too? Just a though but i dont know so we will need some expert advice

wow i am a dumb fu**. I have been jumpin back and forth between windows and I just look in at what cdrwin is doing and what do i see... OPEN NEW SESSION. dood just look where all the stuff like burn-proof etc are, its the second choice. wow.. oh ya and i have version 3.8D with a plex and it would be the software, not the burner, and oh ya you dont burn it onto the same cd you already burned txr2 on to because we all know that a cdr cant be burned onto more then once, its common knowledge. So after a long hard day i have solved my problem, and i say so longer sucka. ^_^

Thats not a big help for me either. cdrwin isn't compatible with my philips cdrw400 burner. So what can I do? Nothing! I've tried using other softwares to burn the .raw file which is supposed to be audio, and then use cdrwin to burn the .iso file. The cd doesn't work still. Open new session option on cdrwin is not an option I can click on when I click on record. I can click on open new session when I go to file back up and tools. I've made 4-5 coasters so far...Help me someone...
