Extract Precomp+srep+lzma with Freearc

Hey guys if i compress with only Srep+lzma then i can extract with Freearc 0.67. But if i compress using Precomp+srep+Lzma there is error when unpacking.

The error message come this way: "Warning write error(Disk full?) in compression algorithm srep.


That error make no sense at all since without precomp unpacking works fine.

Can someone share their knowledge to fix this problem.

precomp is precompressor use it in certain cases if the game have zlib/deflate streams
so that they are bit-to-bit-identical to the original stream, the decompressed stream can be used instead of the compressed one that's all about precomp usage

My point is than decompressing the file with command line works fine, but i want to use Freearc GUI 0.67 to decompress it, but in Freearc GUI it cause error only with precomp.

May be there is something wrong in arc.ini

but atleast it will show a decomp/comp error if arc.ini is wrong configured so he must fix it

If you have an arc.ini compatible with precomp for Freearc GUI 0.67 to share i will appreciate it. By default i cant make it work, it just crashes everytime in extraction.

I tried 045,038 and after both not working i tried then the default one which comes with Freearc GUI 0.67 which is 042 and yet it crashes. Ofcourse i used same precomp version in compression for each decompression try.

Apparently Freearc 0.67 GUI is someway bugged in Windows 10 i think. I tried compressing in own Freearc Gui with precomp enabled and it just crashes.

The problem is, freearc gui 0.67 uses the same arc.ini as 0.66 That's why it crashes. You need to update the arc.ini yourself to use with freearc gui. For me, I don't simply use freearc gui. I use arc.exe with modified arc.ini when I need tk compress, or I use Ultraarc
