DivX

I have a dvd player on my comp... but I don't have 1 for my tv, and if u have lots of friends over its hard to watch 1 movie on a small screen (no tv out either) I was wondering if there was a way to make a divx play on the dc, without converting it with some software (I heard that messes up your dc, if it doesn't please tell me). If u know of a way to play divx on a dc please tell me
