Image Masker

Greetings,

Hey guys. I just created this program, took me 2 weeks to figure out how to make people use png image installers without making the masked bmp image, some people can't do it so and end up using jpg installers therefore I made a tool to make things very simple. it is not perfect yet but it works 80% on masking and it works with Installer Creator and CIU.

Created under Delphi using RAD Studio XE3
using VCL (TBitmap) and FMX (TImage) components.

Happy masking...

Well, what Bamse said on a "other place" (without the 'crap' quote ^^)

Quote:
Doesn't support transparency (semi tansparent regions are black, should be white).
Saves an 4bpp (should be 1bpp).
If you can fix this so this will be a nice tool.

For starters, I don't go to the 'other place' but all of you who do all blame Razor for stealing etc, you all blame Razor for making members leave Fileforums. You all bag the shit out of Razor for trying. Well the facts are Razor did not make anyone leave, Revo is to blame for that by privately inviting you all away and telling you all not to post conversions on Fileforums, cause Revo and others are so shit scared of Razor and what he does for people here! Razor now does more here at Fileforums than all of you put together! Revo is far to busy counting his 'Thanks' posts to give a rats about anyone else. He is all for himself. He has the biggest 'ego' of anyone I have ever met via these forums. The 'Thanks' post are more important to him than anything else. He obviously had a cry at being knocked back for a Moderators role here at Fileforums.
One thing I do like about Revo's conversions though, they are very simple and are the easiest to re-create without the 'EgoLotion' logo splashed all over them.

I will gladly help those who help Fileforums so Razor has my full support.

P.S: When I say Razor has my full support, I will never give him Yener's ISS scripts. I have far to much respect for Yener to give out his scripts.
But, if any of you want one of Revo's conversions without the Egolotion logo and with the mistakes fixed, then send me a PM, I will gladly share any of them as they only take about an hour to re-create, nothing hard involved.

Well, i don't know what this has to do with this thread, but i respect your opinion and for my part, i have never said that razor (or anyone else) have stealed someones scripts or anything like that. Its not wrong to post conversions on two or more places, right?

Btw, most of us still posting conversions here, so i dont know whats the problem right now.

Thanks Grumpy. These days I don't care about what people say anymore.

KaktoR Thanks for your concern about the program. You can use the sensitivity bar to detect semi- transparent regions, if the sensitivity is high then even semi transparent regions will be black but if it is low then transparent regions will be white.

the sensitivity bar is made for transparency.

later guys...

will create progressbar and checkbox creator at a later stage. I think I can pronounce myself as a 17 year old programmer. .

I will try my best to make this forum the future I guess,

@jamel2013

the form and png must be the same width and height else that will happen.

Sorry KaktoR, my comment was not necessarily directed at you, it was this quote which frustrated me:

Quote:

I didn't bother going looking for the quote but I've listened to everyone complain about Razor and what he may or may not have done in the past and thought since most of those who complained have now left that the matter would be dealt with and Razor would no longer be the subject of jealousy or whatever it is that motivates others, only to hear that obviously whatever Razor does or creates is still subject to criticism, after all if there was a problem with the program why wouldn't someone just come here and tell him instead of dissing his effort on another forum?

Definitely not. Its not even wrong to use the Fileforums Private Messaging system to Invite members to a 'new' site but it 'is' possibly morally wrong to then tell those members 'not to post' on the site they just poached you all from. ;
Luckily some of you didn't listen to him.

little proposition for your program, you can do it without sensitivity gauge, just check every pixel for alpha (if < 255 then mask pixel will be black(or white) in other way mask pixel will be white (or black). as you may know, to create ideal mask for inno, you must make some steps:
-png and bmp must be the same size.
-all pixels with opacity less then 255 must by black(or white) and all others white (or black)
-bmp format must be monochrome

if you don't know where to start - search png alphascanline
i hope i help you.

hmm, anyways, altef that is what I did at first and some edges where messed up. and i noticed something. i only considered the left, right, up and down to make smooth edges but i didn't consider diagonals, if an edge is set at 45* or so, the edges are real messed up so have to considered the diagonals so there you have it but will go through what you are saying, just that I'm writing a Mathematics(i hope i kill Euclidean Geometry) test tomorrow so yeah, later.

thanks bro.
