High audio compression method!
Recently i came across a dirt showdown repack by blackbox in my friend's pc.
The setup was just ~2gb and it decompressed to~9gb. I noticed that they compressed all the audio files into ogg and then into rar...... I also noticed that they used some command line audio compressor like "sox.exe". I was not able to find out how they did it. the actual audio file was in .WIP format.... anybody got any comments.......... if that technique is known it will be great foe compressing audio files..... |

Repack groups usually use that kind of "recompression" when source audio files are too big.
Pure example would be games that come with audio encoded in .wav format which is much larger than .mp3 or .ogg. They convert source .wav files into .ogg during the packing and installation re-converts the files back to .wav format. |
