Burning DIVX movies onto CD to watch on tv with my DC

I just wanna know if there's any way to burn a DIVX movie or a cam onto a cd that can play on my Dreamcast...
Can i AVI to Mpeg? then burn using the mpeg player? or will the divx codec interfere?
