Removed all MP files and languages other than English, ran FreeArc no compression and ended up with a Data1.cab of nearly 6GB. This is after installing the latest BFBC2 795745 Patch so the game would work. This patch alone was over 2.5GB. Will the installer still work if I use compression? Check screenshot.

Just a follow up. Made the ISO with UltraISO and uninstalled BFBC2. Mounted image with Daemon Tools and it installed perfectly. You have done a really nice job of the installation and I thank you very much. I will make the DVD DL then try again using compression on the Data1.cab file with FeeArc to see if I can get it down to DVD5.

try -msrep+lzma:a1:mfbt4:d256m:fb128:mc1000:lc8 see if it will reduce it enough to get down to 1xdvd5

Went from 5,815,705KB to 5106,***,***KB (can't remember exact figure)using that alogarithm. Thanks anyway - I'm happy with result as I can now reinstall without having to worry about updates and NoDVD fixes etc. I can even resume from where I left off. Once again very nice installer, and thanks for your hard work.

added screenshots directly to first post, rather then 3rd party host. They'll remain here forever as they get deleted by 3rd party sites quickly.

I tried again with FreeArc's Max Compression -mx -ld800m and ended up with a cab file 5,104,373KB. Game folder size is 5684.5MB according to Treesize and 5.55GB according to property sheet (Windows 8.1). I tried the Ultra setting that required 2GB RAM but that would not work (I have 4GB). Notice said I did not have enough memory for decompression. I noticed the screenies were missing but I knew there'd be a reason for it.

EDIT

just noticed in setup.ini

MyExecutableName=BFBC2Game.exe >> .exe is missing
hold on a few, just testing compress.bat to see how well it compresses
entire game folder. ( Its just been updated to latest version, & has MP files as well )
will also test without those MP folders. Well with JUST SP files & English using above
compression string, the updated game turns out at 4.63GB. Will have to change
some things around to even it out a little better for 2xdvd5.
