Rayman 2 and Rayman M

Hi!

I'm new in this forum and I have a question regarding Rayman 2 and Rayman M. I want to make a DVD containing all Rayman Games to install them on Windows 7 64 Bit but I have problems with Rayman 2 and Rayman M.

Rayman 2:
The CD is about 650 MB big but if I want to copy it to my harddrive, it is about 6,5 GB. It's the files in the folder Data/Levels which become that big. How is that possible and how can I fix it?

Rayman M:
I copied the content of the 2 CDs to my harddrive and made an iso-image. But the installer keeps asking for the second CD no matter what I try. There is no msi-file I could edit nor is anything written in the autorun.ini.
If the iso is called like the second CD the installer asks to insert CD 1. So it seems to depend on the name of the disc. How can I change that?
The other games work fine.

I hope you can help me with this!

Rayman 2 may be a cd image, but the copy protection for the game, may make it look like 6.5GB.

Rayman M came on 2 cds it all depends on the installer used for the game. it may not be possible to have it on 1 dvd. check to see if it contains autorun.dat, which is the same an msi file.

Some old Lucas Arts also had that kind of copy protection, it made the content look like several gigabytes. If you reencoded some wave files the size was normal again. But here it is no wave files but files for the certain levels (textures or so, I don't know)

And there is no autorun.dat in the Rayman M folder.... Some other ideas? I think I have to edit a file which checks the name of the CD..

For Rayman 2, as far as I remember, these "hulk" files aren't included in the game install (even FULL install), but I don't know how to "bypass" it.

For Rayman M, I have no good ideas.
However, if I remember well, the game is fully extracted in BOTH game disks, so you can try doing a new installer (A.K.A. InnoSetup). The same approach can be used for Rayman 2, but use the already installed game, not files from game media//iso//whatever for a backup.

Sorry, but for now it's the only thing I could suggest.

Ya, in Rayman 2 CD, there is the folder;
\Data\World\Levels
and files in it such as *.dat are the source of this issue, oh such a big file size!!
Maynot be possible to copy file by file.
I will recommend to make "CD image" and burn it to DVD.
