I was wondering if it was at all possible (in theory, not necessarily implemented by someone yet) to use the connection from my pc to my Interact Mega Memory Card (like the nexus card, just different manufacturers) to communicate / extract data from my DC. I ask this, because I already have the cable, and it communicates from the VMU to the PC, but the VMU gets information from the DC when you save games. Since there is a data flow from the DC to VMU (like when yo usave games), I thought it might be (here is the key word) possible to use teh connection from my PC to the VMU, through the VMU to the DC, to possibly rip GDROM data, and back the way I would have come in, allowing me to transfer like a coder's cable... without all the messy setup, international ordering, etc.... Just a thought... I am not dying to try this any time soon, I just thought I might throw a somewhat intelligent question out there, that maybe a DC coder or ripping expert might be able to handle. Please don't flame, as this is a question that is nowhere on the board, so it IS a unique one.... I know this is not implemented YET (to the best of my knowledge) , but it seems like a possibility since the connection allows me to access my VMU from the PC, and data is sent from the DC to the VMU... It just seems like someone might be able to someday figure out a backdoor to this... You guys have to admit that Sega does not have the best copy protection out there... but we still love them anyways
Thanks,
