Newbie needs help with Origa with dvd region x

i`ve chipped my pal ps2 with the origa chip and i use the dvd region x.

i tried to boot backups and an original us ntsc game (mgs2).

the import worked for 3 times, but since yesterday i couldnīt boot it anymore.
and backups didn`t work even onetime !!!!!!

could someone tell me EXACTLY when i have to change the discs and which button i have to press (when ??) !!!!

i need to know it for

a) backups

and

b) original us ntsc versions.

i am going mad......

i also thought that the chip is wrecked ore something, but i can`t imagine this....

please help me !!!!

ANSWER: Boot with DVDRX - When the region numbers come up on the TV, press EJECT button and swap the backup in. When the backup is in, press Start on the controller and the backup should boot

and

b) original us ntsc versions.
ANSWER: Use the NTSC original as your boot disk. If that doesn't work, the OrigaChip isn't performing properly. If you have Memory Manager 16, then you could try using this as a boot disk, behind which you would load the US Original. I don't expect that to work (but you never know - that method does all sorts of things) because you had previous success.

I'm posting additional info about DVD-R backups separately.

mmmh do you mean that the us ntsc will boot by itself ???????

can`t i use the dvd r x boot disc ?????

If you've got OrigaChip v1.11 or later it boots by itself. That's the whole point of getting the OrigaChip.

DVDRX is the easiest way of booting backups.

But surely you haven't waited for this reply to try the US original boot?
