teac cd-w512eb can't copy Dc games?
Hi, I just got a Teac CD-w512eb burner (12x12x32x), and i can't seem to get it to work with Dj 3.0 to burn Dc games.
I've tried both, burning .cdi images and copying copied games by making an image. It finishes burning, but it can't run in the dreamcast. Can someone, pls help me out. |

I also have the TEAC-512EB and indeeed its really hard to burn a cdi-image!
I don't know how many non working CD i have...(stopped counting them) one major problem for me was that the game went directly to the DC menu (where the 4 icons are displayed... start game, vmu, settings, audio) it didn't went directly into the Audio menu, so there wasnt the problem with wrong version, or short track error............................................. .... one day I thought: man instead of fu**in so many CDs why dont U freek your DC-Laser and burn on CD-RWs? and so I did... and supprise! the games worked! ( with 10x(speed)CD-CDRW) than I ran to my trash-bin and took my old "non-workin" games... they all worked! (lol... now I have 6 times Grandia2 ...) maybe U should try burning at lower speeds... or sthn.? I'm new to this (2-3 weeks) so i cant explain whats going on... but this Laser tweak did work for me... (the bad thing is: the games don't work on unfreeked DC-consoles (((((maybe someone with more knowledge could help us? maybe I should go and ##### it for the PLEXTOR!? my other Traxdata 2x CDRecorder just has no problem so for my friends i connect my oldTraxdata and wait 1 hour to finish the game! but it works... I tried burn with 4x(speed) with my teac but still didnt work on nonfreeked DCs..... BUT IT CANT BE THAT THE TEAC DRIVE IS CRAP!?!?!? |
