Followed it to the letter, the most I can get out is 8KB and that's 1 out of 40 times.
It connects, it displays the track info but once you try to rip a track (doesn't matter wich one) it'll give me an error code. tried in win98SE/winnt/win2k connected through a switch/hub/crossover cable. It's kinda annoying seeing so many people can do it. any ideas? |

I already tried setting the machines to use 192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0 and no gateway, my machines used 192.168.0.1 and the DC 192.168.0.2 in arp, and same thing happens on all 3 machines and OSes. I don't have my DC at hand so I don't have any details on it or the BBA, but I'll update later. Hope it's enough details ![]() Now before you ask why how do I have such equipment, I used to work at a computer store that went out of buisness, so I decided to stock up for free. |

Problem solved!!!
OMFG!!!!
It's working now!!! I can tell you now that it does not work with windows 2000! You have to make sure your DC BBA information is set to defaults. I used the BB Passport to set them to default. As soon as I did that, and tried again in win98 it worked! I can confirm that it works great with the switch, hub and the crossover cable. I'll have to test it on NT next. |
