For the VirginMedia customers...
I was a customer with them for my broadband, that was until today I decided to give them a month notice to remove it.
How many of you are happy with their connections? Happy that your 20mb down bandwith is being cut by 75% to 5mb because you went over a paltry limit set by them? Do you feel the money you paid for the connection between £25-£35 (depending on deals via complaining) is mostly being stolen from you? So unhappy that when you try to get a 50mb line, that you are not even considered to be eligible for removal of the useless £30 install fee for a modem and router which anybody can mostly do, and a disgraceful £50 fee for activating the service, even when you have been a loyal customer for years with them? And your unhappy that your upload speed which is paltry for a 20mb line when maxed out cuts your down bandwith by 90% and is only really one way, and is also subject to throttling at nights? Then join the club :P Get your friends and family who are with VM also and spread the word that they are stealing money from you for your broadband service. Customers like yourself need to complain and let the exec's understand that 75% throttling is theft! Complain on the phone, complain on newsgroups like virginmedia.discussion.broadband virginmedia.support.broadband And any blogs, local newspapers or anywhere.. Let people know a company like this cant do this, and get yourself justice And do let them know that companies like Be offer a better service with 24mb speeds for lesser costs and are not throttled, and not to listen to the propaganda that you will only get a max 5mb from an ADSL line even if your 800m away from an exchange. Do it for yourselves! Do it for everyone to get what you deserve! /end rant (I'm gonna post this all over the place until things get sorted, even when im no longer with them I hope it helps other customers :P) |
