Tomb Raider Underworld (DVD9 to 2x DVD5)

Tomb Raider Underworld DVD9 to 2xDVD5

1. Create 2 folders and name them as DISK1 & DISK2

2. Copy all the contents of DVD9 to DISK1

3. Move following files from DISK1 to DISK2

Code:
bigfile.001
bigfile.002
Autorun.inf
autorun.exe
disk2
4. Edit ''Autorun.inf'' in DISK2 folder to like this:

Code:
[autorun]
open=0
icon=autorun.exe
DVD1 LABEL= TRU
DVD2 LABEL= TRU

Install Sequence: DVD1-DVD2-DVD1

This is the same installer which Crystal Dynamics was using for ages... ( In LOK installations, etc... )

Tomb Raider : Underworld DVD9 into 2XDVD5 MULTI

Easiest way to split the DVD is

1. Copy all data on the original DVD to a Temp folder

2. Burn all data ( Except bigfile.002, bigfile003 and movies folder ) to a DVD. Volume label will be "TRU" ( Not important though ). This will be your DVD1

3. Burn bigfile.002, bigfile003 and movies folder to another DVD. This will be your DVD2 ( You can add any patches, No DVDs in this if you like ) Volume label can be anything.

Thats all

Install the game from DVD1... installer will finish without giving any error messages. Once installer finishes, insert the DVD2 and copy it's contents ( bigfile.002, bigfile003 and movies folder ) to your installation directory. ( Where bigfile.000, bigfile001 and other files reside )

Tested and Working

EDIT: Here is new TRUcopy.exe v2 for Zanfer conversion, download: TRUcopy-v2.7z (includes TRUcopy.exe and autorun.inf for it)

Usage: Put TRUcopy.exe to DVD2 along with bigfile.002, bigfile.003 and Movies folder

Now it should work correctly on XP (and Vista)

I changed it so it doesn't start copying files right away when inserting DVD2 and now it checks that install path is valid (by checking that there exist tru.exe in install folder) before copying files.

@mondragon, i think too inno or any other installer is better, but i find this good situation to fine tune my batch script to work on XP. atleast in my use it has been very useful, first version i made worked only on XP not on Vista and my second one worked on Vista but not on XP so i hope it now works in any situation

EDIT2: Link updated
Attached Files
File Type: 7z TRUcopy-v2.7z (77.1 KB, 435 views)

Senseman proper worked, but the labels are wrong. You should edit post to labels "disc1" and "disc2". Thanks!
