Guitar Hero Aerosmith (DVD9 to 1x DVD5) -FULL Backup
Guitar Hero Aerosmith dvd9 to dvd5 full backup
1) extract all cab files into one folder - 'Data1' on hdd [use winrar or other that can start from data1.cab and uncompress all other ] two files are splitted my size of Data1 folder: 6 515 MB / Files 1653 [or 1652 :P] 2) download and extract to folder where 'Data1' exists [not into folder 'Data1'] Attachement: 4cab_Guitar_ddf_dvd5-v2.rar run one cab for one cpu/core [makecab use only one cpu/core] -run more at the same time if u have more core NOTE: need almost 2GB/every bat on partition where have temp folder [windows temp folder not temp where we copy game] 3) after all 4 bat ends you get new four folders [dont remeber name but you find it] :P probably 4) create another temp folder and copy contents of dvd9 - except cab's files edit Guitar Hero Aerosmith.msi go to media tables Code:
1 821 1 Data1.cab DISK1 2 852 1 Data10.cab DISK1 3 1236 1 Data11.cab DISK1 4 1652 1 Data12.cab DISK1 5) move to temp folder new cabs ['hidden' in new folder that already mention] 6) burn with any volumelabel [yes its msi but only one dvd5] or use DISK1 [or change that in media tables] - only need if u remove dvd under installation [maybe]

Don't use WinAce or any other program than makecab.exe, other programs adds files into cab in alphabetic order when installer needs files packed into cab in same order as file sequence indicates in msi. So what mondragon provided makecab + ddf (settings for makecab and correct fileorder) is only way to repack these files.
Most programs like WinAce can't compress files into cab same way as makecab and there might be problems with installer and fileorder/crc problems for some files. Can't remember filesize but it will fit to dvd5 after recompressing |

Download Orca from mondragons signature, install it
Open msi with orca (right click and select 'Edit with Orca') go to 'Media' tablet and change values on right panel like in conversion Last edited by ravd; 20-03-2009 at 11:38. Reason: duh, screenshot -> conversion :) |

Download the archive. download orca from mondragons signature at the bottom, or google for it Open msi with orca (right click and select 'Edit with Orca') go to 'Media' table and change values on right panel like picture in post #1, save the file. just follow the instructions, pretty straight forward.. if you still have problems, upload the dvd9 MSI file here Last edited by pakrat2k2; 13-10-2011 at 20:52. Reason: added upload msi file here |
