My first trainer - Quantum of Solace trainer +2

This is my first trainer and I made it in one day so its not pretty or complete.

Near Invincible - Enemy's can cause damage to you but you will regenerate max health back in 1 second or under, after you take damage. Explosives will still kill you.

\Note\ I am still working on finding the actual address that handles the damage value.

Infinite Ammo - Gives you Infinite Ammo

\Note\ The Ammo address changes on some levels so there might be some weapons which do not have infinite ammo, if you find any then email me at cylon (at) masseffect.us

Cheats I hope to be adding later:
  • Freeze Bomb Timer
  • Invincibility

Any ideas are welcomed

If you can deal regen rate quickly then you must be close to dealing with actual health value, look into it a bit more.

How did you create this? Using an access pointer, or a write pointer? If it was the first then you should be looking at using a write pointer to do the hack. That way the new 'subtracted' health value will never get updated and you shouldn't die. Also in that routine if you look a bit further up you should try to force certain conditional jumps to see whether you can achieve a 'true' god mode (ie. routine gets skipped altogether, player doesn't even get hit etc).

Unfortunately the game crashes when I attempt to use a debugger so finding the write pointer is going to be very difficult. Is there any other way of searching for the write pointer without a debugger?

What debugger are you using? I only ask because some will let use use kernelmode debug routines and effectively 'catch' the opcodes before the game gets them, allowing you to debug but without the game knowing. You could use CE (cheatengine) if you're not already and enable this option in its config. Might be worthwhile.

I am using the CE debugger. After I enabled kernel mode and ran the debugger the game stopped responding so after an hour later I just terminated the process. I don't think the game went through any QA testing so hopefully there will be patches/updates soon.

The game is very odd. It crashes anyway and freezes... all the usual. I wouldn't put it down to the way you went about hacking it

Nicely done, I like it!

Brilliant work my friend, works like a charm & it doesn't crash my game like some of the other ones. I would leave it alone because it works fine just the way it is. I play games for challenge & trainers are just a tool to get through the tough spots that I have trouble with, why would you want to blow through a game in god-mode, kinda defeats the purpose of playing, it would be unrewarding or fulfilling with no sense of accomplishment when you CHEAT ALL THE WAY THROUGH A GAME! If you you know what I mean, but that just my opinion.

cylon -- extra nice trainer. you and caliber are the only trainers that work with this game without causing it to crash (trainers from brewers, dr.olle, and extalia/psych all crashes the game).

i was able to complete the game on 007 difficulty with your trainer on the whole time without a single crash.

excellent work. i am very much looking forward to your future trainers.
