No-DVD question

Typically, and I know this would be a ball-park figure but, how long does it usually take for a no-DVD file to be available for a game after a new patch has been released for it?

I've been playing race-driver grid the last few weeks and since I just downloaded the update I'm back to putting the DVD back into the PC to run it. Not a HUGE deal but you get spoiled just clicking the icon and GOING.

depends on the protection used
depends on if the cracker(s) could be bothered doing it

there's no real exact way to predict.. so you just have to be patient..

and you're also loosely infringing on rule #6

Fact is, professional crackers don't visit this forum. Also, they're way above all this whining and don't give a fuck about requests either: their reason for cracking stuff is the mental exercise. As they can't reveal themselves to the public, it's not completely similar to climbing a mountain for the worldwide fame but the classic "Q: why did you climb the mountain? A: because it was there" dialog does apply to crackers, too.
