Hello
I need the No-DVD-exe file for 1.06 patched Heroes of Might and Magic V Collector's Edition PC... I have searched GameCopyWorld and Megagames... There's only 1.05. It's strange - patch 1.06 appeared on November 2007... With used 1.05 fix exe disappear options in game menu (game, graphics, etc.) Please help me. Thanks a lot! |

I think you'll find they removed the Copy Protection in patch 1.06, at least the 1.06 EU CE patch did!

Looks like you haven't patched it right! H5_Game.exe is 1.60.0.51 for EU 1.06 patch!
Both the EU CE 1.06 and plain EU 1.06 patch contain the same exe files, and they are devoid of Securom and DVD checks as I patched the EU CE game to 1.06 and didn't need the DVD at all. |

yes it works, but in menu is ver. 1.0
![]() Btw, I installed proper patches adjusted to my Collector Edition game version (East Europe) from 1.1, 1.1-1.2, etc. to 1.5-1.6 for hu/pl languages. Exe's files doesn't change. it's always 1.0.0.27, no matter which patch was installed. Besides , what is strange, readme's 1.1, 1.2 to 1.6 files (contains patch changes) are placed in c:\widnows\ any idea? |

that sort of implies that your update didn't work...
are you sure you updated it and it was successful?? and that before the update you restored the original exe?

Yeah, TippeX and me agree it looks like your patches haven't worked!
Uninstall and reinstall the game then start patching from 1.04 (Cumulative patch), 1.041, 1.05 and finally 1.06 and see what happens! |

I know it's an old post but it's high in search results and I had the same problem. For me it was the installer screwing up on 64bit systems (Windows 7 x64 for me) while on the Windows 7 x32 it worked fine. So installing the game and the updates on either a 32bit system or x32 virtual machine then copying the files to the 64bit system solved the problem for me and may help others who find this post.
