BF2142 problems

For some reason,the game's FPS is at 80fps,but my character moves very slowly and when I jump he doesnt jump,the reticule just gets bigger,and also sometimes the sound lags or just repeats in a loop.Also every time I open the sound section under the options in-game the game quits to desktop.

Note:I have had to change the sound setting to "basic" in dxdiag just to get the game not to quit to desktop.
Also When i try and open the sound settings on the ingame menu it quits to desktop.

System specs:

Amd x2 3800+
2gb ram
2x 6800xt in sli

Try without a crack, disable EAX support, and update your drivers, especially the sound card & EAX drivers. Read the PC Games forum FAQ for some general gaming solutions.
