Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific

I just bought the game, went home and reformatted my Hard drive to clean it up and get rid of all virtual drives so the retail disk shouldn't have a problem installing.

I put in the disk and my NEC DVD-RW 3550a wouldn't read the disk, it will read all my other retail games disks though.

Any insight, help would be most appreciated.

Thank you

Try it with another drive/PC; if it still doesn't work, contact the publisher for a replacement. (Have you tried simply copying files off the disk in a file manager?)

I solved the problem by buying a DVD-Rom to install the game. It seems Starforce didn't like my DVD-RW.

It should only be running the game that Starforce 'might' not run in a DVD-RW drive, installing shouldn't be an issue!! Perhaps a f/w upgrade fro your burner, if one is available, might have helped?

I've installed new firmware for my DvD-RW before I bought the DvD-Rom, no joy. But as I stated before, I solved the problem.

Thank you all.

You'll save wear and tear on your burner now installing games from the DVD-ROM
