Still Life USA Crack?

The cracks dont work, I just got the game (from amazon.com) and on both my Vista Ult and XP Home machines and i loaded the no cd, and the game loads but when you talk to the cop at the beginning no dialouge comes up and both characters freeze. If i use the starforce virus crap, the game will work fine. So im thinking its a problem with the no cd. unless anyone has some ideas..

wtf? I dont plan to play one copy on two machines, the only reason i tried it on the XP machine was to see if it was a problem with Vista.

Which is standard procedure these days when any software has problems, Vista is bad on compatability.

You didnt say that, you said on both machines. But I dug out Still Life and it works fine on vista for me with the crack.

So it could be a conflict with either hardware or software on your machine.

Or the crack (or demo files I think they were) only work for the Euro version and they 'fixed' the US version to stop them being used?

Sorry for not being clear on that.

But Thats what i was wondering, the crack works with your USA version? As I said, the problem i have is the game Does start up but when you first talk to that police officer in the very beginning, nothing happens, the snow falls still but the 2 characters are stuck and nothing will happen.

It works fine though if you play it using the starforce crap, but then the whole point of this is to not have to have starforce installed. Very bad that starforce.
