Is It Possible To Buy SONY Dvds For The Ps2 console?
I'm talking about here about the discs on which the games are "inserted".
I don't exactly how the anti-hacking software of the Ps2 is working, but I'm near certain you won't be able to do anything with a random DVD. You NEED the Sony DVD. And that's what I'm looking for, as I'm wishing to have some backup for my games. Nothing illegal, I want some backup in case something happened to the original and I don't want to chip my ps2. Halp someone? |

Impossible. The boot data for the games are "pressed" into the discs when they are created. These discs can not be bought nor will any burner be able to read that info from an original to duplicate it. You need a mod chip to imitate this boot data to play backups. You can buy any brand disc to make your backups to use with your mod chip, but some are better than others.
