Pyl [a.k.a. The Dust] - Polish DOS FPP - simple CD check removal inquiry

Hi, it's me again, the Old Game Crack Requestor. This time, the request of the day is...

PYL (THE DUST)

... an old DOS based first person shootah. The game obviously isn't protected by anything more than a simple CD check. It is problematic enough to run this fine game under DOSBOX, do I really have to cause myself problems making DOSBOX see the disc at all? Please, HELP. Help, help, help. This isn't the first time I'm asking for a crack here, all my problems have been solved so far, so I am sure that I can count on this community. Thanks in advance.

BTW, I'll post my own crack for MageSlayer 1.1 (1.0 already exists) when I find the fixed EXEs. Just gimme a day...

Uhm, okay, and how do I see whether it found the CD or not?

I launched the EXE in itself under DOSBox and received the following long error message on the screen (standard output) as well as logged into a file called ERROR.$$$:

  Wolna pamiec: 13459456[dpmi] 6892[system]
Errno:  No such file or directory [1]

Prawdopodobna przyczyna bledu:
 - brak wolnej pamieci [wymagane 32MB]
 - brak miejsca na dysku twardym [wymagane 48MB]
 - za duzo otwartych plikow [wymagane FILES=16]
 - brakujace lub uszkodzone pliki gry [nalezy zainstalowac gre na nowo]
 - brak CD PYL

Do I understand correctly: this is a critical error, the game couldn't open that file and suggests to make more memory, increase the FILES setting, reinstall the game, or insert the PYL CD? (Nope, I don't understand Polish and the last time I studied Russian was also more than a decade ago... )

Possible cause of error:
 - lack of free memory [32 MB required]
 - lack of hard drive space [48 MB required]
 - too many files open [required FILES=16]
 - missing or corrupt game files [reinstallation required]
 - missing DUST CD
