X3 - Reunion (6CD to DVD)

1. Create a temporary directory.
2. Copy all the files and folders to the temporary directory from CD6, then 5, 4, 3, 2, and lastly 1; overwrite everything when prompted.
- The final files to be copied should always be from CD1.
3. Open the file "X3 REUNION.msi" in orca (orca is microsoft's MSI editor).
In orca, go to the tab labeled "media" and change the "VolumeLabel" for each of the 6 CDs to the label you will use when creating the DVD. I set them all to be "X3-Reunion". Save and close.
- You can download orca for free, google for orca msi. (for an independant installer, alternatively, download it from MS as part of their huge SDK pack, also free but takes alot of time and space to just get orca)
4. Burn an image (with the disk label you chose, such as "X3-Reunion"), it is imperative that you give the image the same label you inputted in step 3, otherwise it will fail to install.
5. Install the 2.0.02 patch, that patch also removes the copy protection.
6. Enjoy.
