External DVD writer for laptop

I've done a search for this and i apologize if i've missed it somewhere..
What i want to know is..i have a Toshiba Satellite A-100 216 laptop. and wanted to know if there is an external usb dvd writer i can buy that will allow me to back up the 360 games. I only seem to be able info on internal writers

I do have the 360 flashed

I don't know if it makes any difference or not but my laptop specs are:

Intel Centrino Duo
Windows XP Media CEnter Edition
1.6Ghz
2 gig of RAM

Any help would be much appreciated

If you are asking if there is firmware for any external writers, then I am sorry. There are only a few dvd drives that contain hardware similar to the 360, and are hacked to read the disks.

Don't really want to have to buy computer so i can get the right burner with firmware just to back up the games.

Oh well looks like i'll have to just sit and wait and hope that something new will come along to do them

Buy a caddy for about £15 off ebay that will allow you to use an internal DVD drive as an EXTERNAL drive via USB 2.0. That is what I have and it works just as if it was internal. You can find the correct drive on ebay which will be hacked to read Xbox 360 games! Let me know if you need more help!
