Final Fantasy XI - Vana'diel Collection
I have been looking for a way to combine all 5 cds of Final Fantasy XI - Vana'diel Collection to one dvd, for install purposes. After several try I finally made.
1.) Make a Temp folder on the hard-disk. Name this folder A03005W_003_C01. This will be the name (Label) of our DVD. 2.) Simply copy contents of all 5 CDs into this folder in the same directory-structure as they were on the CDs. 3.) Do not overwrite files!. Rename file setup.exe from CD4 (it is expansion Rise of the Zilart) to, let say, setup_Rise_of_the_Zilart.exe, because CD1 and CD4 have file setup.exe, but the files are different. 4.) Download and install ‘Orca’. 5.) Once Orca is installed go to the Temp folder and right click the file ‘FINAL FANTASY XI.msi’ and from near the top of the menu choose ‘Edit with Orca’. When opened go to the ‘Tables’ one on the left and scroll down to ‘Media’ Click on ‘Media’ this will show you the entries in the Right pane. There will be 5 columns. Change all the entries in the ‘VolumeLabel’ column to A03005W_003_C01 Then ‘Save’ it. 6.) Go to the Temp folder and right click the file ‘FINAL FANTASY XI Rise of the Zilart.msi’. and Edit with Orca. When opened, repeat procedure described in step 5, you will see 1 entry, check that the ‘VolumeLabel’ column is A03005W_003_C01 Then ‘Save’ it. 7.) Alternatively Create another folder for any Updates, Serial, Patches and etc. NOTE: Name this/these folder/s whatever you want. 8) Burn the contents of the Temp folder to a DVD with the Label: A03005W_003_C01 9.) Enjoy a fine and quick installation without disc swapping: a) first you have to install Playonline viewer tetra master - run setuppol.exe. b) then install game - run setup.exe c) finely install expansion - run setup_Rise_of_the_Zilart.exe. |
