Unhappy Rayman 2 Multilanguage PC trouble

I have tried various No-CD cracks that I found on the net, but any of them seem to work properly. I can play the game well using Daemon 4.08, but I don't want to have the CD-image all the time in my HDD.

Besides, all the cracks I have seen to have the same CRC, so they're the same.

Can someone please tell me how to make the No-CD crack to work?

What do you mean they don't work properly? Crashes, error messages (exact quote!)? What cracks have you tried? Read the forum FAQ for infos on how to report problems properly.

Now what game are we talking about? The latest from the series is Rayman four (4)!

Well, there's only one game called Rayman "2" for the PC, Joe Forster/STA...

And what I meant to say that they don't work properly it's that I replaced the original .exe with the various "supposed" cracks and the game still asks for the CD. I didn't know that SafeDiscv1 protection was so hard to crack.

you can crack sd1 for yourself using one of the safedisc unpackers available on cdmediaworld.com.

But i think there is probably an additional cd check or you have to copy some files (eg video files) from the cd to the game dir.

Yup, as chron said, try to do a full (re-)installation of the game. If it doesn't help, read entry III/4 of the forum FAQ and contact me in E-mail.

I haven't played this game in a long but i remember I couldn't get any of the cracks to work in that timeeither I think they were fakes. Anyways the game doesn't have any copyprotection Only the cd check. Works with a if you make a copy of the original disk or with an image mounted

Yes, please, scan the game with Protection ID and tell us the exact copy protection (name, version number).

Well, ClonyDXXL v.2.0.1.5 only says SafeDisc v1.

Protection ID 5.2 says "[!] Possible CD/DVD-Check String -> Please insert" when I scan the main .exe, if I scan any other file it says "File is NON exe"

I used another scanner (which name I don't remember) and it said SafeDisc v1 r2

Please, collect the files, as described in the FAQ entry I mentioned, and send them to me.

For the curious: the EXE unpacks fine with r!sc's enlarge 1.3 (for Petite); see http://www.absolutelock.de/construction/releases.html for a download. But there are several places where something that, at least, looks like a CD check is done and I'm not sure which is a CD check and which is reading files off the CD for real...

Is there a full installation mode of the game where nothing is supposed to remain on the CD, everything is copied onto the hard disk and the CD is used for the copy ptotection only?
