Boiling Point - Problem with fix
Hy. ive just got this game, awsome, but i have a problem, i downloaded the performance fix from GCW, everything is fine, the game runs much smoothly and the bug with the control have been fixed, but there is a problem, with the fix, in some areas of the map something is not loaded, and the character, cars, peds, everithing falls down, trough the earth, anyone knows how to modify the fix to repair that.
And one more thing ive figured aout myself playing with the fix, by default the fix changes the game language to duch, u can change to eng by changing the language=5 to 0 (zero) in the game.ini file that comes with the performance fix Thx, and plls help |

And, without the fix, you don't experience these problems?

No, only with the fix, without the fix the game runs quite slow cause of my system RAM and CPU, and no to mention the control bugs, anyway this seems to be the only bug of the fix, and im stuck in that town, i cant go anywhere in the jungle cause i fall trough the textures, also if this helps i have an Gf 6800 TDH, so there should be no problem with the GPU, the only thing i want the fix to do is speed up the game a little bit and fix the control bug.
Thx |

I actually didn't get much out of the fix. The game still runs like crap. They ought to fix that, but my guess is, they never will. :-(

K, ill make some screenshots when i can.
In the first city, where u begin, if u look u will see some kind of monument with flowers around it, it is a square blcok of cement or something like that, just about the exit of the town, the road that goes in that jungle, anyway, usualy the areas around the town. Well, the fix does a really nice job on my PC, the game truly runs much smooter, i didnt see on other pcs but on mine, i cant play well without it. Got a screenshot, thats how the so called "unloaded" areas looks like, if a step into them, i fall trough the ground...and so on. http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/7999/untitleddk2.jpg Last edited by doohoodogg; 22-11-2006 at 08:23. |

Boiling Point has always felt like an unfinished game: jerky movement, constant hard disk activity. (Compare that to GTA3 on a PS2 with 24 Megs of RAM, ehhh!) By the way, isn't there an official update that you're supposed to apply to the game?
