To Anyone With Pioneer DVDRW A03

I am having problems making DVD backups. I am using software that came with drive Instant cd+dvd. I perform the dvd-r swap and the game that I copied Time crisis 2 boots to the Namco screen and then goes to a black screen that it stays on. I am using Pioneer blanks.

Does anyone know where I am going wrong or were I can get better software like Prassi PrimoDVD?

Thanks
Sim PM

Hi Sim, nice to hear from you again. There was a free download at ####://www.dvdsoft.net/download.php?op=viewdownload&cid=5&orderby=dateD but the link is broken or now. It's been reported.

How big is Prassi DVD?
Is it small enough to send in an email?

If not does anyone want to ##### a copy of it for something?

Thanks
Sim

PS. Thanks for the help Charlie unfortunately the link is still down. Ive looked around and can't find Primo anywhere. Have you got yourself a writer yet.

Sim, because of the PrimoDVD problem, I've commissioned someone to bring the writer back from the USA ($550 + taxes if caught).

Have you tried Nero 5.5.5.1 yet? This was reported a couple of months ago to have worked.

I'll be back on the forum tomorrow morning and look forward to your reply on Nero.

OrigaChip is brilliant mate.

I tried nero and had no joy. Kidace has said he can help on Prassi side so I am waiting on an email from him.

What is this new chip you were talking about what does it do?

Cheers
Sim

Hi Sim,

I saw Kidace's reply. Looks hopeful.

Anyway - the Origachip (####://www.madeiragames.com with a link to the originators) appeals especially to Jap PS2 owners. But there's a PAL version. It's main feature (in addition to the NEO2.2 functionalities) is no swap booting of import originals. So its halfway between NEO4 and MESSIAH (which isn't released). I got Madeira Games to chip the machine while I waited (a couple of hours).

I just couldn't wait for MESSIAH and NEO4 (especially with its 33 wires) was not on - it doesn't boot import originals.
