Mod Problems

just had the ps2 chipped. But the only way i can get "backups" to work, is using the EA meathod... this is ripping hell out of my AR cd. PS1 games dont boot direct and tony hawks 2 wont work at all. Could any1 tell me why? Is this normal?

No it's not normal but we don't have much to go on. I assume it's a PAL PS2

Mod unknown... i assume neo1? Installer was dischouse in Leeds... and yes a UK model.
2 ps1 games... Bloody roar 2, i think is US and works - with ea method.
other game is tony hawks 2 - still cant get it to work no matter what, just goes black and does nothing else.

all ps2 games work so far - ripped from my own collection. But again EA method.
Oh and AR 2 v1.3 or 1.7

This is starting to drive me nuts.
The shop aint worth shit and want £150 for NEO 4 installed, not a chnce if they cant help me with this.

Maybe DAL could come in on this as a NEO2.2 wise man.

If you've just had it done, it should be the NEO2.2. Ask Dischouse what they did! I think we have to have this info.

For PS1 backups, this is the NEO2 stated method:

Insert your PSX original
Power off the PS2 for 5 seconds
Turn on the machine
Press eject just before the PSX LOGO SCREEN
Swap with your PSX import backup
Press eject to close the tray
The game will now load

This doesn't work - correct? With the EA method, does the disk tray comeout and go back in automatically?

What is the originof the Tony Hawkes 2 CD? That's why it should be tried somewhere else.

This will probably take a few more exchanges to unravel I'm afraid.
