Onimusha 3 for PC, Options problems

Hi, im wondering if anyone knows how to change the resolution setting of the game, i can go into options, and actually change the resolution setting, but it never applies, the game is original, and it doesnt even ask for the cd to play it, regardless i tried with the cd in and out to see if it helped, but nothing.
It's preety annoying to play it on a little 600x800 window screen, If anyone knows how to fix this, please give me some info.

Have you activated the Light mode??
It automatically sets the resolution and details to the lowest!

And I thought only the German version requires a CD/DVD to play!
