Star Wars Battlefront 2 Corrupted Profile Help...

Hiya,
It appears that somehow or another my profile has become corrupt, resulting in me exiting back to desktop whenever I try to select it. I can start the game no problem with a New Profile, this wouldnt usually be much of a problem, however, Id reached legendary status on all medals but Demolition. True, a lot of the medals are easy to unlock and can be done, just by playing the game a few times. However, I really dont want to have to go through the polava of getting the Marksman sorted again...
If anyone could offer any help it would be appreciated!

Try this: While in WinXP go to Control Panel, go to Sound and Audio Devices and make sure that the option USE ONLY PREFFERED DEVICES is checked for your soundcard. Next start the game, go to options and disable the sound by hardware. This has resolved a similar problem for me and also provides a bit more stability for this buggy game that I am so addicted to. Let me know if it worked for you.
