Backing up a disc

I am trying to backup a disc I have. However, I don't know what protection is on it. I have tried runnnig A-Ray Scanner, and Protection ID, but neither of them find any protection. Yet when I put my backup in the drive, it tells me that I need the original disc to run the program. Any suggestions?

Perhaps, you could tell us the NAME of the game. Also, why not search for its copy protection - and other details - on Google?

It's not a game, it's an Educational CD. It's Called A&P Revealed Disc 3.

Sorry, nothing arrived by E-mail from you. (Make sure to archive the files with ZIP or RAR; uncompressed attachments bounce back from my custom E-mail filter automatically!) Also, I have no Net access at home so I don't receive/send E-mails during the weekend.
