ya know what glenbo ? this website is called gameCOPYworld incase you hadnt noticed, we all know what the real purpose of the site is for so why make stupid comments to threads like just insert your disc ?

i own the 3 disc version of kingkong and it would be nice to run the bloody game without having to insert the disc thankyou !!

The real purpose of this site is to help people to play 'their own original purchased' game without using a disc!!
If people dont want to do as they are told, or cannot get the suggested methods to work, then they have no choice but to insert 'their original discs'!
When you purchase a game one of the minimum system requirements is a CD/DVD drive. Hmmm, somehow I dont think that requirement is just for the installing purposes.
So lets keep the unfounded accusations out of it!

Yep

@dazzashazza -

If you think the real purpose of this site is to help you play warez, which is what I think you were hinting at, then your very very wrong.

Play with your original as said until some no-cd or image comes along that you can use.

Alternatively since you have the original, make an image or mini-image yourself.

Read how to in the FAQS on the forum.

@dazzashazza: Your implicit "you're all hypocrite warez-users" comment is very much NOT welcome on this forum; next time, you'll be banned for it! (See the FAQ.)

King Kong no-cd

Hi,

I got it to work by inserting the patched CD (a Philips 52x) in my DVD-ROM player. It doesn't work in my DVD Writer and I think the creator of this patch also says that in his nfo file (not included in the gamecopyworld archive)
Warning 4 says enough...

WARNING 1: Do only burn to the media you selected in the tool else it will surely fail.
WARNING 2: If you get verification failed during load and it asks for the serial your copy failed.
WARNING 3: Allthough this will improve the availablity ofsfclonecds we can not guarantee it will work for every disk you burn SF stays wierd and even the same media will fail sometimes with a different batch
WARNING 4: You still need a DVDROM OR CDROM to run the image or offcourse a plextor with plextools pro

well now, what a response I provoked there !

@ Joe and Grumpy et al :

I think you read between the lines on my last post. I thought the idea of this site was to help folks make working "backups" of games they own so as they can keep the originals safe in their cases saving the discs from being scratched and unusable/ resellable once finished with. If you believe I was accusing forum members of using warez then you are very much mistaken and I apologise for any intimation given.

Me, too, sorry then!!! I suggest that, next time, you should be more explicit about what you mean so that there won't be any such unfortunate misunderstanding...
