F.E.A.R. prob

Now here's an interesting one. Occasionally during the game my computer will crash, something to do with dumping the pysical memory or some such. It gives me a blue screen of death. Last time stuff like this happenned to me I just upgraded my video drivers and it went away. But there are no upgrades this time.
Any sort of fix would be appreciated.

Note: ATI Radeon 9200 SE with 128MB

Dont know what is the cause but turn that off cause now you will have a large (same size as your ram in my case 2gig) undefragmental file in your windows folder, it is used to get info about the error if you know what app and how to use it, I for one turn it of and dont let it do any sort of dump.

Use your search and set all files and folder and enter .dmp then grab it and delete it.

Sytem Properties then in Advanced, then Startup and Recovery Options, all by right clicking MY COMP icon. < where you turn it off.

What is it?

So what exactly is the whole "memory dump" thing, and why does it do it?

Blue screen

I did that and it still happens. It gives me this error message:
"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut downto prevent damage to your computer.

BAB_POOL_CALLER

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow theses steps:

Check to make sure that any new hardware or software if Properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need.

If the problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup options, and then select Safe Mode.

Technical Information:

***STOP: 0x000000c2 (0x00000007, 0x00000cd4, 0x00000000, 0x81F04F88)

Beginning dump of physical memory.

Physical memory dimp complete.

contact your system administrator or technical support group for further assistance."

The next time I got this error, the whole STOP thing had the numbers:

"0x00000019 (0x00000020, 0x826A74S8, 0x820A7BE0, 0x0AFS0001)"

I notice that they change every time I get the error screen.

That error points to a driver problem. Some sites mention that a Soundblaster soundcard is the most likely suspect, do you have a Soundblaster card ? If so, update the drivers. If not, try updating all other drivers (including motherboard drivers)

You may want to try DOWNgrading your video drivers to the latest stable version and/or removing/upgrading/downgrading the chipset-specific IDE controller driver. Good luck!
